I am originally from coastal Massachusetts and moved to Sitka in 2015 for a volunteer opportunity. I fell in love with Alaska and was hooked into staying after spending my first summer here commercial fishing. I started out my time here working in nonprofit communications and later started my own freelance design and consulting business.

I have a background in visual arts and I owned my own freelance design and consulting business for about six years prior to joining the team at Cedar. I also have traveled extensively throughout Southeast throughout the several years I spent working seasonally in fisheries and commercial fishing while I freelanced in the winters. I have a degree in Public Relations from Boston University and have over a decade of experience in communications, PR, design and media.

As a designer with Cedar Group, I enjoy creating designs that meet the unique needs, and celebrate the stories of, Alaskan people, businesses, and organizations. I especially enjoy projects that require me to think outside of the box and specialize in illustration and brand design. I love helping the people I work with to tell their unique stories through design and visual art.
